Hello, my name is Rin and I'd like to welcome you to Sculpture Dream. It's an ambitious statement using the slogan 'Turning dreams into reality' but that's pretty much exactly what I do for a living. I make cement sculptures of all sizes with my growing team throughout Thailand and beyond. I'm keen to work with cement not only because of its cost effectiveness but also for its hard wearing, adaptable and long lasting properties. Fiberglass is also used in some projects.

Growing up in a rice farmers family, quite often I'd have very little to play with as a child. My parents worked incredibly hard in Nakhon Sawan, Thailand and I had to learn about independence at an early age. I had no real toys to play with and my father was conscious of that. So much so that he would return from work, throw clay on the ground and ask me to play with it. I would just let my imagination rip and shape the clay into all sorts of fantastical creatures to play with. I would also draw portraits of people at my grandmother's massage parlour. Quite often we forget a lot of our childhood history as we mature and those memories become ever more distant. However, every sculpture I create is a reminder of my childhood and I hope that these sculptures will provide inspiration for people to live out their inner child and dream big.

My parents actually wanted me to become a teacher but instead I pursued art at university. After graduating I worked for a company for 10 years in the sculpturing trade where I learnt much of the skillset I use today. Painting is almost a therapeutic type of meditation for me.

Yes, I am a big fan of dinosaurs just the level of ability needed is very dynamic and challenging. I create detailed angled drawings to ensure that the dimensions and characters of the subject will be created accurately. Cement is moulded around a steel structure. I even use handmade tools for me to create the intricate lines and contours of the subject. I'm not really a one trick pony though and have created Sweet City, Pattaya assisted in the Valley of the Dinosaurs in Chiang Mai and worked on modern cartoon characters, flowers, insects and a myriad animals.
